I've been to Chan's a couple times while visiting family in Kirkland. I ordered different dishes each time. It's pretty typical Chinese American type fare and decor. Nothing spectacular, and I wouldn't go if I was choosing the restaurant. The most recent health inspector rating of OK (one step above we're shutting you down) didn't exactly inspire confidence, but none of us got sick.

Some of the best sesame seed chicken I've ever eaten. A little pricier then I thought it would be. But I will definitely be returning.

Food is much better than it used to be! Wish they would stay open later. Service was excellent.

East Coasters will find the food here familiar. Chan's has a lot of dishes in the American Chinese food vein: fried rice that's granular rather than sticky, very tangy sauces (though no duck sauce that I've seen). If you grew up somewhere with American-style Chinese food, while I strongly urge you to branch out and try some of the awesome traditional Chinese restaurants around Seattle, Chan's is a sort of "comfort food" for those of us whose first exposure to Asian cuisine was "chicken fingers" and wonton soup. :)

The cream cheese wontons are amazing. Unfortunately both of the entrees we ordered were barely edible. The BBQ pork fried rice had so many green and white onions that's all you could taste. The orange chicken was the lowest quality dark meat I've ever tasted, it was fatty and slimey.
